Wanted a wagon, but I bought an ‘87 300D sedan new for $34,800 (very good deal) in DUNKELBLAU with light gray Tex. Mercedes wound up having to replace the trap oxidizer and turbocharger for the 6 cylinder turbodiesel engine they sold in US America for one year only. Anyone have any experience with this car?

I was gonna buy a $700 300E, white on black, but it was like 10x as rough as the owner said it was, so that was unfortunately a no go

Extensive. Great car. Spent half it’s life in salty winters. Extremely well built. Made it to 293k before a chunk chipped off the head and lunched the block.

Got mine to 110K before I had to sell it. Did I mention it went through 2 speedometer heads?
